    Operations Specialist

     

    Location: Washington Shoe Company HQ - Renton, Washington

    Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

    Salary: $55K - $70K per year, DOE

    The Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient functioning of order fulfillment. This multifaceted position involves resolving order discrepancies, monitoring order status, optimizing inventory, coordinating shipments, and continuously improving processes. The Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams, performs data analysis, and reports on key performance indicators to enhance demand planning and order fulfillment, contributing to the overall success of the organization's operations. This dynamic role requires a keen eye for detail, effective communication, and a commitment to operational excellence. This role will serve as the inside voice for our customers.

     

    Key Tasks:

    • Order Management: Resolve order discrepancies and address customer inquiries promptly. Prioritize orders based on urgency and customer requirements.
    • Order Tracking: Monitor the status of customer orders and report on discrepancies and delays.
    • Demand Forecasting: Monitor demand forecasts to ensure inventory flows meet customer requirements.
    • Inventory Management: Collaborate with appropriate teams to ensure product meets delivery requirements on time from various warehouses.
    • Program Shipping Coordination: Coordinating shipment logistics, processing through the ERP system and preparing shipping documentation.
    • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Continuously monitor forecast accuracy and adjust demand plans as necessary. Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning and order fulfillment.
    • Data Analysis: Collaborate with business intelligence team to develop new KPI’s and reporting as needed.
    • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve operations functions.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain, or related roles.
    • Familiarity with ERP systems.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of supply chain best practices and industry trends.
    • Proficient with Excel and business intelligence software.

    Remote - China Based

    Product Developer

     

    Location: China Based Remote Role

    Reports to: Senior Production Manager at Washington Shoe Company, USA

    Schedule: Monday - Friday, day-time business hours - remote

    Salary: $30K - $60K per year + bonus potential, based on experience

     

    Washington Shoe Company is a family and locally owned nationwide distributor and manufacturer of wholesale footwear. We are one of the leading suppliers in the rubber footwear industry. Washington Shoe Company has been in business for over 130 years and continues to enjoy record breaking seasons.

     

    We are seeking an experienced footwear Product Developer to collaborate with our USA based Design Team and faciliate the on-time execution of new product concepts with our overseas vendors. This is a new remote role to be based out of China, reporting into the Senior Production Manager who is based out of our Renton Washington HQ in the USA.

     

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Partner with cross functional teams to assure product specifications and sample quality are communicated to vendor
    • Update Tech Pack with material specifications on key upper and bottom material as well as components
    • Review samples against Tech Pack for accuracy and workmanship before sending to USA for final approval
    • Provide product performance recommendations from concept through to commercialization
    • Assure development cycles are met according to the global production calendar
    • Weekly communication with Manager and Creative Team
    • Participate in Pre Season Kick Off Meeting with Design & Sales teams

    Qualifications:

    • Rubber and vulcanized footwear manufacturing knowledge preferred
    • Strong understanding of all types of footwear constructions and materials is a plus
    • Minimum of 5-7 years work experience in footwear.
    • Excellent attention to detail as well as interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill
    • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize and work independently
    • Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to time sensitive tasks
    • Experience with Mircrosfot Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and other ERP systems (A2000, Excel, Access, FlexPLM, Centric PLM, etc)
    • Proficient in spoken and written English
    • Must be willing to travel
